Hanfood Icy White Honey

Hanfood Icy White Honey

Honey

From a remote, pristine environment in Northern Canada, Hanfood’s pure, unfiltered, unheated, untreated icy white raw honey is proudly produced by Knox Apiaries, a family farm who have worked on honey production since 1959. The creamy white honey is slightly crystalized but still remains spreadable: it has a sticky and smooth texture similar to a soft caramel candy. Canola, Red Clover, and Alfalfa & Borage are the main floral sources, infusing it with a great flavor profile.

Honey

This mild tasting honey is a wonderful and healthy sweetener for tea or coffee. It acts as a delightful spread for anything hot, as it will thin out to an almost buttery consistency – perfect for biscuits, toast, freshly baked scones or English muffins. It makes a delicious topping for hot cereals, and is excellent when paired with butter. You’ll want to eat it straight from the jar – a spoonful is an excellent and healthy energy source!

What does Raw Honey do? :

Honey

  • Simple sugar, increases reserves of glycogen and blood sugar.
  • Builds up hemoglobin in the blood to prevent hemorrhaging.
  • Destroys bacteria such as typhosus, para typhosus, enteritidis, dysenteriae, suipestifer, coli communis, botulism, and others.
  • Helpful for marasmus, rickets, scurvy, diarrhea because it contains proteins, mineral salts, and vitamins, which are missing in other sugar.
  • The “hygroscopic” (draws moisture) powers of honey are phenomenal and were used in the process of mummification by the Egyptians.
